Smack Of Ham
It's so watery...and yet there's a smack of ham to it.

I’ve likely said this before but it warrants repeating: Season Two of Parks & Recreation may have been as good as a TV comedy can get.

If you’re not hip to the show, this is the season to jump in - it’s on NetFlix so you can run a few back-to-back.

Simply outstanding.

I had a chance to see B.B. King perform in my area tonight. While I think I missed his prime by a couple of decades, it was an enjoyable evening. Highlights for me were The Thrill Is Gone and How Blue Can You Get. He took his time leaving the stage, which enabled me to snap a few pictures with a point & shoot.

Masters At Work:

I couldn’t have been happier watching Conan O’Brien visit David Letterman’s show last night. So many interviews on talk shows are rehearsed and formulaic, a formality to get to the all- important plug for a movie or TV show, that you forget the potential this format has.

Last night, two intelligent, funny masters of the medium sat down and just talked, mostly about shared experiences with Jay Leno, and were captivating. The conversation was fast, funny, and effortless, organically entertaining. They chatted for three segments and could have gone on for three more.

With all the effort networks put into creating compelling TV, it was fun to be reminded that sometimes, all you need are two chairs.

Thank A Teacher

Arithmetic has really helped my parenting. I dress my 12 month old in a 6 month shirt and 18 month pants - mathematically, she looks great.

Astrologically Challenged

I wanted to refer to the Super Moon in a tweet but am forced to use “the big planet” by the NFL.

Coming Clean

If I spent as much time straightening the house for myself as I do before the maids arrive, I wouldn’t need maids.
